The Greenwich Academy Master Plan is a multi-phased project including demolition, out-of-ground, renovations, and additions, all being constructed on a fully occupied campus in a residential neighborhood over 22 months.

All construction performed on occupied campus with careful logistic and safety planning, ensuring minimal disruption.

Services: General Contracting (Phase I) & Construction Management (Phases II-V)

Construction Management services include: budgeting, value engineering, constructibility reviews, logistical and safety planning, scheduling, mock-up facilitation, material procurement, subcontractor bid & award, and construction.


Phase I: Pre-Connecting Building

4,500 sq. ft.; Patriquin Architects

Demolition of an existing structure and the construction of a new building to hold two classrooms, support space, and a three bedroom apartment.

Phase II: Lower School

39,500 sq. ft.;
Ann Beha Architects

Construction of a new Lower School, a three-story, out-of-the-ground structure with ten classrooms, multiple flex spaces, a 200-seat auditorium, library, computer lab, conference rooms, faculty lounge, and offices.

Phase III: Middle School

13,250 sq. ft.;
Ann Beha Architects

Demolition of existing Lower School & construction of a new Middle School addition, including two classrooms, a collaborative learning space, a counselor office, a lounge, a staircase, and an elevator, plus renovation to the existing Middle School, including 16 classrooms and a computer lab.

Phase IV: Visual Arts Center

13,317 sq. ft.; Architect: Peter Gisolfi Associates

Construction of a new three-story Visual Arts Center addition including an open dance studio, art studio, and an open chorus room. The new steel structure is built on concrete slabs with metal deck and sloped roof trusses.

Phase V: Harrison Courtyard

20,000 sq. ft.; Architect: William Kenny & Associates

Reconstruction of the 20,000 square foot Harrison Courtyard to echo the landscaping from the other phases, tying the campus together, and creating outdoor gathering areas for the students and faculty.
