Project Description:

  • Brunswick School identified a need for additional practice facilities for their football, lacrosse, baseball and soccer programs and turned to A.P. Construction to help them develop and construct a new 79,000 square foot structure on their King Street campus.
  • The new collegiate-sized artificial surface field will be fully covered by a roof and 60% of the facility can be fully enclosed for use in the winter season and inclement weather. The enclosure will operate by a motorized airplane hanger type door that is 200 feet long and 40 feet high and runs on a specialized track designed into the turf field.
  • The project requires substantial earthwork, including relocation of over 30,000 cubic yards of earth, a new stormwater retention systems and revised wastewater systems.
  • A.P. Construction worked closely with the Owner’s Representative, the Architect and the Civil Engineer on budgeting, design support, scheduling, logistical planning and local/state approvals to move the project into the construction phase.
  • Construction management services included: constructability review, budgeting, design support, value engineering, subcontractor bid and award, safety and logistical planning, pre-purchase program, scheduling, and construction.
