Project Description:
- Project included the addition of a new steel and glass structure that links two commercial buildings resulting in 7,000 sq. ft. of new amenity space. Outdoor eating areas and hardscaping were built to take advantage of the waterfront views.
- The new addition creates an indoor dining area complete with a new juice bar and servery. A concrete terrace was built to provide an outdoor dining area that maximizes the views of the harbor and Long Island Sound.
- Twenty-foot glass panels fitted between brick columns were used to convert a formerly open air space into a new, enclosed cafeteria with a commercial kitchen. The re-purposing of this area required the installation of an extensive, concrete reinforcement system to withstand new load capacities.
- A new fitness center was built in the existing building that is accessible via a newly constructed interior staircase.
