Project Description:
- A new ground-up, 40-unit multifamily affordable apartment building in Wilton, CT.
- Approximately 64,000 sq. ft. of Type VA wood-framed residential construction (4 stories) over a 3-hour rated concrete podium over 1 story of Type I non-combustible construction containing a partially enclosed parking garage, lobby, community room, fitness center, tenant storage, and mechanical rooms at grade.
- Building layout and features by floor:
- Ground Floor: Tenant amenities, mechanical rooms, etc.
- 1st Floor: 12 residential units over a 2-way reinforced poured-in-place concrete slab.
- 2nd Floor: 12 residential units with floors made of open web wood trusses and wood-framed bearing walls.
- 3rd Floor: 8 residential units (8 level 1 duplexes; 4 flats) with floors made of open web wood trusses and wood-framed bearing walls.
- 4th Floor: 8 residential units (8 level 2 duplexes; 4 flats) with floors made of open web wood trusses and wood roof trusses above.
- Exterior Walls: Combination of masonry block and concrete walls with EIFS, and wood-framed walls with fiber cement siding.
- Building Services: Equipped with a 5-stop elevator and two wood staircases housed in CMU/concrete shafts.
