Project Description:
Clinical Laboratory Renovation and O.R. Support Projects
- Multi-phased renovation to 10,000 sf clinical laboratory. All work was performed while maintaining full operations of the laboratory.
- Relocated existing blood bank to provide space for new OR/PACU project.
- Complete demolition and renovation of existing elevator to provide service from Equipment Supply Department to the new Operating Room. Shaft was modified to include new stops at several levels and extended to service two additional sublevels.
- Construction of a new steel framed mezzanine in the open interstory space between Levels 3 and 5 of the existing hospital. The new 5,000 sf mezzanine provided space for mechanical equipment and emergency power equipment required for the new operating rooms.
- Construction management services included: budgeting, value engineering, subcontractor bid and award, safety and logistical planning, pre-purchase program, scheduling, phasing and construction.
