Project Description:

  • Project required the extensive reconstruction of the common spaces for the three office buildings on the campus as well as the infill of an outdoor area to create additional space for retail. Renovations included the front entrances to each building, main lobbies, elevator lobbies on the upper floors, restrooms, common corridors, and the garage lobbies.
  • The building lobbies received new terrazzo flooring, plaster walls, stone feature walls, and a central seating area with a decorative chandelier, sheetrock ceiling and a carpet inlay. The elevator lobbies included new millwork, back painted glass, new elevator doors and surrounds, and decorative lighting.
  • The front facades extended out to create new vestibules and were rebuilt with limestone panels and extruded aluminum fins on the exterior walls, glass fronts and doors, and aluminum panels on the ceiling.
  • The garage lobbies were renovated with Taktl panels on the exterior and interior walls, new ceilings, lighting, carpeting, and back painted glass around the elevators.
  • The common spaces received new carpet, wallcovering, lighting and ceilings. The restrooms were completely renovated with new glass tiles on the walls, ceramic floor tiles, marble counters and sinks, new plumbing fixtures and partitions.
  • Exterior work included a renovated entrance off Greenwich Avenue with a fountain, new ramp and steps with marble pavers. The adjacent façades received limestone panels and new glass windows and doors. The sidewalk and street trees were replaced adjacent to the new infill area.
  • Construction management services included: constructability reviews, budgeting, value engineering, logistical planning, safety planning, subcontractor bid and award, safety and logistical planning, pre-purchase program, scheduling, and construction.
