Project Description:
- Addition and renovations to the existing facility with extensive logistical issues. All work was performed while the YMCA remained in full operation with a temporary entrance and administrative offices so that there was no interruption of services.
- Daycare center relocated from basement to ground floor of new addition with expanded and improved facilities.
- New addition also includes fitness area, offices and classrooms for after school programs. A new elevator was installed to satisfy code access issues.
- Renovation of existing structure includes locker rooms, health center, weight room, exercise facilities and aerobic center.
- Site work includes new entrance, parking and vehicular circulation changes, and the relocation of the electric transformer to make way for the new wing.
- Construction management services included: budgeting, value engineering, subcontractor bid and award, safety and logistical planning, pre-purchase program, scheduling, phasing, and construction.
