Project Description:
Naramake Elementary School
- Addition with four classrooms, a storage room and a full basement was constructed while the school was occupied.
- Asbestos remediation and renovation of portions of school performed and completed over summer vacation.
- Demolition and replacement of two boilers and all associated equipment completed over summer vacation.
- Reconfiguration of site including school bus and parent drop off plus other improvements to the parking lot completed over summer vacation.
Rowayton Elementary School
- Addition with five classrooms, gymnasium and stage was constructed while school was fully occupied.
- PCB and asbestos remediation was completed in three phases during school vacations.
- The complete demolition and reconstruction of six classrooms was completed during summer vacation to avoid conflicts with the students, faculty, and staff.
- Site work included the complete reconstruction of main parking lot including removal of four portable classrooms, removal of concrete sidewalks and asphalt paving, new storm drainage, regrading, new concrete sidewalks and asphalt paving.
