Project Description:
- The project consisted of extensive renovations which included the conversion of the existing first floor classrooms into new Nursing Department offices, a conference room, and a lounge area.
- The steam heating system was replaced with hot water systems throughout the building, with extensive mechanical and electrical upgrades.
- New rooftop expandable condensing units and HVAC distribution were installed to improve cooling capabilities.
- The existing switchgear was upgraded and modified to a new 800-amp electrical service, enhancing the electrical infrastructure.
- Installation of a new five-stop elevator, including interior excavation for elevator pit and construction of a new shaft way, to provide ADA accessibility.
- Construction management services included: constructability review, budgeting, value engineering, subcontractor bid and award, safety and logistical planning, pre-purchase program, scheduling, and construction.
