Project Description:
Multi-phased construction project consists of the renovation of two school buildings, three faculty housing buildings, a new maintenance building, two playgrounds, and site work.
Phase I – Completed August 2024
- Building 14 – Pre-K & Kindergarten Building – 20,000 sq. ft.: Complete interior renovation of the school’s main building including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work and new finishes to the building. Exterior windows & doors were removed and replaced with new energy efficient windows matching the existing historical style. A new playground was also constructed for the Pre-K & Kindergarten students.
- Building 13 – Day Care Building – 3,000 sq. ft.: This existing building was renovated to bring it into compliance with the latest codes for day care facilities. Renovations consisted of the installation of new flooring, replacement of ceilings and lighting fixtures, new paint, construction of a new exterior pedestrian ramp, and upgraded plumbing work. A new playground was constructed specifically for the “Little Cubs”.
- Maintenance Building – Ground-up construction of a new 1,200 sq. ft. maintenance building. The stand-alone facility provides equipment maintenance & storage for the 17-acre Lake Avenue campus.
- Construction management services included: constructability review, budgeting, value engineering, subcontractor bid and award, safety and logistical planning, pre-purchase program, scheduling, and construction.
Note: Phase II, which is currently under construction and expected to be completed in August 2025, consists of a 30,000+ sq. ft. renovation of three historic educational buildings into faculty housing.
