The Westport Senior Center held its ribbon-cutting ceremony on January 4 celebrating the completion of the $3.9 million Enhancement project.
A.P. Construction Company was hired to expand the existing Senior Center structure by approximately 5,000 square feet while the facility remained open and in active use by seniors. The new one story wing includes a large fitness center, library, lecture hall, two activity rooms, restrooms, offices, and storage.
The existing structure was also renovated where the new wing was attached and in specific areas throughout the building. The project also included 27 new parking spaces with a full turn around and an emergency access road.
A.P. Construction’s team overseeing the project included: Jonathan Seymour, Estimator, Sydney Worobel, Project Manager, and Jim Bartram, Superintendent.
