“Four months into our six-month expansion project, and I am happy to report that A.P. Construction has exceeded expectations. I have found the whole team to be professional and their infection control measures excellent which is such an important factor for this ASC expansion project. As with most construction projects, communication is the real key. The A.P. Construction team has been laser-focused on meeting our timeline and budget and has communicated reliably at frequent intervals. In short, I highly recommend this team!”

Project Description:

  • This two-phased expansion project included a new lounge, pantry, corridor, two new operating rooms, and locker rooms complete with new bathrooms.
  • The first phase consisted of the complete demolition of the existing lounge and locker room area. Significant MEP relocations and upgrades included new osmosis water filtration system and HVAC systems.
  • In the second phase, two new air handlers complete with humidifiers, UV sterilizers, and a new rooftop chiller were part of the MEP work.
  • Sheet vinyl with an integral cove base was used on the flooring throughout the new corridors, operating rooms, and the new soiled utility room. Surgical wash stations were installed in the corridor outside the operating rooms.
  • The new operating rooms were finished with 1/8” Altro Whiterock, new surgical lighting, and medical gas columns.
  • Through careful coordination, there was little to no disruption to the adjacent medical office, which was fully operational throughout the project.
