Project Description:
- This project included multiple additions, renovations in the main sanctuary, extensive site work, and a re-imagined entrance complete with a large gathering patio. Work also included the replacement of the fire protection system throughout the existing facilities and extending it into the new additions.
- Site work required the removal of multiple full-size trees to make room for a repositioned driveway and drop off area. Complete site drainage lines were built leading to a new CULTEC collection system. All new concrete sidewalks and staircases were built around the church as well as new ADA-compliant ramps.
- Hardscaping included the recreation of existing stone walls and foundations to tie the new structure into the old. The entry gathering patio was made with blue stone along with decorative paver inlays.
- One of the new additions added 500 sq. ft. to the sacrum and the other created a new 4,000 sq. ft. assembly space. The new structures were built with steel and were finished with materials that blend harmoniously with the existing structure.
- A complete cosmetic interior renovation began with the demolition of the entire floor and wainscoting and finished with tile flooring and marble work at the podium and complete repainting. Custom millwork ceilings in the addition were made to blend with existing ceiling. The chapel received new pews and additional stained glass windows.
