Project Description: Over the past 19 years, A.P. Construction has been awarded 19 construction projects for Greens Farms Academy. Totaling nearly 225,000 square feet, the projects completed include new school structures, additions, interior and exterior renovations, and site work.
Athletic Field House
20,000 sq. ft.
Mark Thompson Associates
- New 20,000 square foot out-of-ground athletic field house with an acoustically enhanced design, consisting of high-end gym equipment, and a floating wood floor.
- Site work included renovations to the gym lobby entrance, locker rooms, toilets, and additions to middle school classrooms, administrative offices, and computer and language labs.
Classroom Additions & Site Renovations

Butler Rogers Baskett Architects
- Construction consisted of 26,000 square feet of classroom additions designed to match an existing historic building and interior renovations to the existing facility.
- Site work included the addition of 12 new classrooms with radiant heat, renovation of the lower school entrance courtyard, new paving, landscaping, a newly engineered septic system with two pumping stations sized to service the entire school, and interior renovations to the music room included acoustical treatments as well as other new finishes.

Office of Michael Rosenfeld
- Multi-phase addition and renovation project that included extensive changes to the school’s MEP infrastructure as well as recreating the ingress/egress and circulation pattern for the entire upper and middle schools.
- Phase I: Performing Arts/Science Classrooms (New Sq. Ft.: 22,000; Renovation Sq. Ft.: 6,000) New addition, built within an existing courtyard, includes science labs, drama room, orchestra room, practice rooms, music rooms, and a music library.
- Phase II: Middle/Upper School Classrooms (New Sq. Ft.: 23,200; Renovation Sq. Ft.: 8,000) New addition consisting of 15 classrooms, labs, locker area, school store, greenhouse, and faculty offices. Renovations to common space areas to enhance traffic circulation to and from the new addition.
- Each phase was performed under occupied conditions and included many sustainable design elements as well as the challenges of coordinating the new construction with an existing, c.1930 historic structure.
Performing Arts Center

Roger Ferris + Partners
- Construction of a new 21,000 square foot performing arts center and classroom extension fully integrated into the existing school structures with extensive site work. The site is adjacent to the main entry road and student drop-off/pick-up area.
- Site work included replacement of existing septic system with a force main, fiber optic and electrical service, courtyard with stepped seating for an outdoor classroom, stairs, and connecting paths.
