Project Description:
- Work included the complete interior renovation of the church facilities outside the Sanctuary, including update of all mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems, and exterior work to improve the access and arrival experience at the front entry. This work had to be achieved with minimal impacts to the church’s services, school, and administration.
- Interior work included the meeting hall and associated kitchen, parlor, library, music room, youth rooms, meeting rooms, children’s chapel, and four classrooms. Parts of the facility are used for a pre-school so work in these areas was completed over the summer months and holidays and all work had to maintain a safe separation of the construction activities from the pre-school’s staff and students.
- Exterior work created a new entry drive, drop-off, entry plaza with access ramps, and a new entry vestibule to the activity rooms and a new entry to the Sanctuary. This work was achieved while maintaining full use of the church.
- Construction management services included: constructability reviews, budgeting, value engineering, logistical planning, safety planning, subcontractor bid and award, safety and logistical planning, pre-purchase program, scheduling, and construction.
