Project Description:
- Project involved the construction of a new 6,800 square foot addition to the existing Breitling watch repair facility and a renovation of the 4,200 square feet adjacent to the second floor access points.
- New structure is on 8”-diameter, diagonally placed steel tubes with parking underneath and one office floor above encased in polished aluminum on the sides and bottom. Windows are full floor to ceiling in height.
- Interior space is the North American center for the repair of all Breitling watches. Each work station has compressed air and vacuum lines for dust collection. The mechanical systems were designed to fit the needs of the repair facility. A precast vault is also located in the new facility.
- The new wing is connected to the existing structure by two bridges with controlled access. The second floor area in the existing structure was renovated for office use while the facility was occupied.
- Construction management services included: constructability reviews, budgeting, value engineering, subcontractor bid and award, safety and logistical planning, scheduling, and commissioning oversight.
