Paul Shamas is Vice President and Chief of Estimating of A.P. Construction Company, a division of The Ashforth Company. He is responsible for overseeing the estimating department, and working closely with architects, owners, and developers during the pre-construction phase of a project.
Paul’s 25 years of experience includes multifamily and mixed-use buildings, private and public schools, pharmaceutical, retail, municipal, residential, country clubs, and senior housing construction projects.
Paul began his career in 1992 at Goodkind & O’Dae Engineering as Project Manager. He was responsible for managing municipal projects such as highways, and bridges. He also worked for HRH/Atlas Construction, and E&F/Walsh as Chief Estimator. In 2000, he joined the A.P. Construction as Senior Estimator. He has been involved in budgeting, securing bids, negotiating, and purchasing for both CM and “hard bid” projects.
Paul earned an M.S. from the University of New Haven in Environmental Engineering. He earned the Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) designation through the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE).
