Project Description:
ICU/CVU Area
- Demolition of 27,500 sf of existing entire 8th floor.
- Construction of 30 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) rooms and 8 Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) rooms with support rooms, nurse stations, a family lounge, family sleeping area and on-call sleep areas.
- Installation of a new 1,500 sf rooftop penthouse enclosure and AHU equipment to provide supply and return air for the 27,500 sf ICU/CVU area.
- Maintained ICRA requirements while working in occupied patient areas as required for work above and below 8th floor.
- Construction management services included: budgeting, value engineering, subcontractor bid and award, safety and logistical planning, pre-purchase program, phasing and construction.
Operating Room/PACU/Pre-Op Area
- Demolition of 26,000 sf of existing space on 3rd floor.
- Construction of 10 operating rooms, 8 pre-operating rooms and 12 PACU rooms, all with support rooms and nurses stations.
- Coordination and installation of new AHU units (3) and all ductwork for supply and return air for the operating rooms, Patient Acute Care Unit and Pre-Op areas.
- Installation of all medical gases, electrical and plumbing services required for the OR, PACU and Pre-Op areas.
- Maintained ICRA requirements while working in occupied patient areas as required for work below 3rd floor.
