Project Description:

  • The project included the construction of a new two story 10,000 square foot structure for squash courts, a fitness center and extensive site work.  The location on the side of a steep hill overlooking the Hudson River required the excavation of over 75,000 cubic feet of rock.
  • Squash facility consists of three singles courts and one doubles court with 32 foot high walls, glass backs and a large seating area for spectators on an upper level.
  • Fitness center includes a group exercise room with a spring floor system.  It also has elliptical machines, Cybex trainers, weight machines, free weights and rowing machines.  A luxurious locker room serves both the squash and fitness facilities.
  • Design includes an expansive exterior viewing deck and warming hut for the paddle tennis courts which are adjacent to the new structure.  Viewing deck is covered by portico and surfaced with bluestone.
